The trucks have the emission of black smoke controlled by conducting semi-annual Opacity Tests, which measure the level of pollutants emitted by the vehicle. Approved vehicles must have the emissions established by the manufacturers and/or in accordance with the levels established in CONAMA Resolution No. 418, of November 25, 2009.
Carriers with vehicles certified with the Green Seal earn extra points for the Destaq Award, which recognizes the best suppliers of Veloce. Daily sample surveys are also carried out to prevent vehicles from circulating outside acceptable CO² emission standards.
Optimization in the Use of Natural Resources
We have a Reservoir, Rainwater Collection System and Effluent Treatment Station – ETE.
The rainwater collected is used in the washing of the trailers, thus reducing the consumption of treated water from the public network. The effluents from this washing are treated in the WWTP and the treated water returns to the reservoir to be reused in the washing process. The sludge resulting from the treatment process is sent to a landfill upon appropriate documentation.
Using water from reuse and also rainfall, we reduce the consumption of treated water to clean each vehicle, from 660 liters to approximately 140 liters.
